History and Mission

The Morrisania Revitalization Corporation (MRC) was incorporated in 1981 as a not-for-profit community housing corporation. For over 30 years, MRC has been serving the Morrisania section of the Bronx, one of the most underserved communities in New York City, by carrying out community development activities including housing development, property management and building maintenance, social service support, education, job training, and food services.

Since its inception, MRC has been funded by the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) to operate as a Neighborhood Preservation Company (NPC). MRC has provided housing relocation, entitlement assistance and served as a catalyst for community and tenant associations, as well as a support provider for economic development activities.

MRC’s mission is to empower underserved families and individuals in Morrisania, by providing affordable housing, homeownership and economic opportunities, and educational and supportive services. Through The Martin Luther King Center for Non-violence, The MRC Food Pantry, The Harriet Tubman Charter School, and The Family Child Care Network, MRC provides a wide array of programs and services.

 Morrisania is bounded by Crotona Park, North East 159th Street, Prospect Avenue-East, and Washington West.

    Paul Moore – Executive Director

    Paul holds over 32 years managing both public and private sector housing developments.  He has served as MRC’s Executive Director since August 2020.  Paul leads the comprehensive and multi-faceted non-profit community and economic development organization providing educational and vocational programs for youth and adults.  In addition to economic development, affordable and supportive housing.  With a staff of 75 full and part-time employees, Paul supervises and oversees all fiscal and operational functions, including fiscal controls and fund development.  He can be reached at paul.moore@mrcbx.org.

    Ta'Donna Nagle – Executive Admin Assistant/ Bookkeeper

    Ta’Donna Nagle has worked over 15 years in the financial industry.  Ta’Donna manages MRC’s bookkeeping in addition to facilitating administrative responsibilities.  She collaborates and supports all divisions of MRC.  Ta’Donna ensures that the day-to-day operations are running smoothly, while building strong relationships with our partners and communities.  Ta’Donna is known for her professionalism and hard worth ethic.  She can be reached at tadonna.nagle@mrcbx.org.

    Donna Greene – Office Manager/ HR Director

    Donna has humbly served a 24-year career as a Human Resource Coordinator, Property Manager and Client Service Representative at the Morrisania Revitalization Corporation (MRC).   Donna is instrumental in managing MRC’s front office, payroll, and management affairs.  Donna diligently works with staff in addition to tenants to make sure that all affairs are in order and running smoothly.  Donna manages the office with kindness, humility and is known for her gently signature demeanor.  She can be reached at dgreene@mrcbx.org.
