Building communities. Revitalizing lives.

about

Morrisania Revitalization Corporation (MRC) follows a holistic community development philosophy focused on strengthening individuals, families, and neighborhoods. In close collaboration with Community Planning Board 3 and other local community organizations, MRC develops and delivers programs that address community health, economic opportunity, youth development, food security, education, and violence prevention.

MRC’s community social services include the Women’s Health Forum, Business Startup Forum, Hansel McGee Foundation, Summer Youth Awards, 777 Troup, Recruit Drill, Regular Drill, Healthy Eating Garden Groups, and Food Pantry services. Through these initiatives, MRC provides residents with access to resources, support, leadership opportunities, workforce and business development, healthy food options, and youth engagement programs.

MRC also operates the Martin Luther King Center for Non-Violence, which promotes peace, conflict resolution, community leadership, and violence prevention. Together, these programs reflect MRC’s commitment to empowering residents, supporting families, and creating a healthier, safer, and more economically vibrant Morrisania community.
